MIKE MESSINA

Drums, Guitar​

 

Mike is a drummer, guitarist, and singer-songwriter originally from Scranton, Pennsylvania.

He studied Commercial Guitar and Music Theory at Los Angeles City College’s Herb Alpert School of Music, where he performed with the Latin Ensemble and appeared at the iconic Greek Theatre.

 

With over 20 years of drumming experience, more than 12 years of guitar playing, and two years of private teaching experience, Mike enjoys helping students of all ages and skill levels build confidence, strong fundamentals, and a genuine love of music.

 

As a multi-instrumentalist, Mike wrote, recorded, and performed the drums, guitar, bass, and vocals on his solo album, HOTMESS. Since relocating to Boston, he has been an active member of the local music community, performing as the drummer for Weigh Boat and working as a session musician with a variety of local artists.
