DIANA FISHER

Diana was raised in a musical family in Wallingford, CT, and began piano lessons at the age of six. She studied a diverse range of repertoire, from Beethoven to Elton John, and began performing publicly in her youth. By age 13, she was the lead singer for her church folk group and began performing at professional events.

Diana moved to Boston to attend the New England Conservatory (NEC), where she earned a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Piano Performance. She has since maintained an extensive career in the New England area, spanning over 40+years. Her experience includes performing at various venues, wedding bands, and country clubs, as well as work in studio recording and serving as a choir director and church rehearsal pianist.

In addition to her performance career, Diana has a long-standing commitment to music education. She previously taught at the John Payne Music Center in Brookline for 12 years as a primary piano and vocal instructor. She has also served as the Music Director for Kids Together in the Arts in Jamaica Plain for the past 15 years.

Diana is passionate about all aspects of music and firmly believes that music is an opportunity available to everyone. From piano/technique/theory/ voice/composition/improvisation/ …whatever a student needs and wants is what Diana has to offer.
