Bass Guitar Lessons

A bassist should use the bass in a creative, original way.

What makes a bassist?

Anyone can learn to play other peoples’ basslines and bass solos. The goal of  bass lessons is to educate you on how to create your own basslines and solos, not just to parrot those of others.

Beginning Bassists

Lessons focus on basics. That’s the way it should be. You will always struggle without a strong foundation. Once you master the basic techniques of the bass you’ll understand how you hold the tune together. The bass is the foundation. It is often ignored. But it is never ignored when it isn’t present!

Advanced Bassists

Many  bass schools are great for beginners, but lacking for experienced bassists. Not us. We have been recruiting and showcasing some of the most gifted bass instructors in every imaginable style. Our instructors can help you gain mastery of advanced bass techniques such as slap, modal theory, pop, alternate tunings, reggae dubs and more.

Our bass guitar instructors are all trained at top music schools. They’re here to teach. It’s the rush they can’t get enough of. And our students are the proof of perfection. Our instructors have an added responsibility compared to most. Our students aren’t closet musicians. Our bassists generally play live with Band Gig. So out teachers are judged every time Band Gig rolls into a town.

Get to the next level!

The Band Gig’s music program offers private music lessons on acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass, drums, piano/ keyboards and vocals. We don’t stop at giving private lessons, every student enrolled has the opportunity to perform live, if they choose, at our student concert.
