Band Gig 2: Rehearse  Perform

This is the Second Teir of the Band Gig Ensemble Program

The Band Gig program offers the chance to develop skills reminiscent of being on an athletic team by engaging the ‘team player’ in all of us. We start with forming the band, picking the songs and playing a live show. So you see we really are a Band Gig! We take you from forming the band to playing the gig. It’s all about having fun!

Each group (made up of 4-6 students based on age, instrument, music style preference and ability) chooses a name for the band and what songs they are going to play. Original music is always enthusiastically encouraged. Each band is coached by our professional staff. You will learn the fundamentals of being in a band from reading basic charts, learning songs, tightening arrangements, dynamics, improvising, learning how to conduct a productive rehearsal, set lists for the live show, pre- show prep, everything up to the live performance.

When: Determined by placement.

How Long: Class duration 1 hour per week.

Where: TBA

How many times does the class meet? 10 week Summer session/ 14 week  Fall and Winter sessions.

Tuition: 10 week session (Summer only ) is $200.00 if not enrolled in our Private lesson program/ $180.00 if enrolled in our Private Lesson Program/in our Private lesson program. 14 week session (Fall and Winter) is $280.00 if not enrolled in our Private Lesson Program/ $260.00 if enrolled in our Private lesson program.

What Age: All ages. Groups are formed based on age and skill level.

Requirements: Must have your own instrument (we provide drums and keyboard).

Recommendation: Private Lessons concurrently are recommended.

Who: Kids and adults. Up to 6 in a band, who already have one thing in common: they love music and want to play in a band. This class is for any instrument we currently offer lessons on. (Guitar, Bass, Piano, Drums,, Keyboards, Ukulele and Voice )
